A Brief Fact About- Myanmar

Myanmar is well known and famous its unique smile of our country people. And also known as “ theGolden Land” for its rich and wealth of its agriculture and minerals.
Being a union of many nationalities, Myanmar covers and area of 262,000 sq miles (676.577 sq km), it is twice the size of Vietnam and about the size of United Kingdom and France combined.Geographically, Myanmar is the largest country in South East Asia Penisula sharing borders with Bangladesh, India, China, Laos and Thailand.
A year is generally divided into three seasons, the hot season (from March to May), rainy season (from June to October), cold season (from November to February). The rainy season being longest period of a year, the climate is favorable to cultivation and consequently the major industry of the country is agriculture. The climate also helps the forests grow abundantly and thus a large portion of thecountry is covered with forests yielding a wide range of timber and other products. Myanmar has the effects of the monsoon in different parts of the country. Temperature varies from 38 C to 19C; humidity from 93 to 66.

There are altogether about 135 groups of nationalities in Myanmar. Among them, the Kachin, the Kayah,the Kayin, the Chin, the Mon, the Bhama, the Rakhine and the Shan are major races. There are 7 states and 7 divisions in Myanmar. Every group of nationality speaks its own language and dialect. But the official language is Myanmar which is spoken all over the country. English is widely spoken and understood especially in the cities like Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan and so on.
The population of Myanmar at the present is round about 50 million. Over 80 of the total population believe in Buddhism. However, there’s full freedom of worship for followers of other religions. So, such as Christians, Muslims, Hindu and even animists you can see peacefully in Myanmar.
Myanmar lies on cross roads of two of the world’s great civilizations- China and India. Its culture is a blend of both interspersed with Myanmar native traits and characteristic. Buddha has great influence on daily life of the Myanmar. The people have preserved the tradition of close family ties,respect for the elders, reverence for Buddhism, and simple native dress. Myanmar is well known for their sample hospitality and friendliness.
